Lights, camera, action.....!

01/07/2016

00:26

Been a productive couple of days.

Being involved in a television segmented thingymabob is a bit of an experience.

More details will turn up about it soon I think...

I think I did a lot better than I expected and am proud of that. Nevertheless I don't want to see the end result as I don't like the sound of my own voice lol

I liken it to text messages, voice messages, letters etc. it's intended for the recipient only - one way traffic - I don't want to see or hear my messages back to me lol

Leather craft workshop on Saturday - part one of two part session learning to make a whip :) should be fun!

And home cooked Dion dinner on Saturday night with opportunity to make nice impression on his mum. I adore her children which I have had pleasure dealing with so it'll be nice to meet the maker, so to speak lol

Blogging on the mobile app is quite an annoying task so I'll keep it brief lol

I love my family, my life, my home, my job and my skills

Have a good night people :) xo

i don't live there anymore. and that's ok. :-)

[ace of base - waiting for magic (fairytales remix)]

wow what a lazy ass of a day i've had!

stayed in bed most part up until about 13:00 today... was nice and cosy and warm.... and then i could hear dion's footsteps out in the hall so i text him to see what was going on in the world.... he came in and hopped into bed to warm his cold hands using my body as a heater.... cheeky bear......

did a lap to the vet to get some dry food for young kahn.... then came home and was lured into Master's room to watch him play elder scrolls on the play station.... damn i love that game!

played my own character tonight for about an hour too.... i suck at combat lol i seem to just press all the buttons available to me hoping to kill the opponent lol sometimes it works..... sometimes....!!

apart from that, kitchen got tidied up, scribbled an application together, ate some food...... and fitbit reckons i've done 8000 or so steps today, which i find very surprising lol

was nice to have kahn use me half as a cushion, gave him lots of pats and rubs.... he's a beautiful boy...

so the windows 10 system is using one of my hotmail accounts as the login and the profile picture is a nice one of me - a selfie i took in ballan a few years ago.... it was interesting just looking at it and thinking about where in the house it was, what i was doing at the time, what sort of weather it was.....

sorta made me think and realise once again, i don't live there anymore.

i miss my neighbour, my bears, the fireplace..... but i don't regret leaving and coming to sydney. i will always have good memories and good friends from that place. but this is home now.

and i still have to remind myself sometimes that this really is my home.

when i look around my room. all the books, furniture, pictures, posters, food stocks, fetish gear - it's all a lot more of "home" than any of my previous places of residence to date. i feel good and encouraged to be myself and express myself and that's the vibe i put into my room.

it's gryph's nesting box, of sorts lol

and i love sharing it with my family and housemates, every single one of them.

when i have a visitor, it's like a visitor to my house. i play a little bit of a "host" role. i feel like i should offer food and drinks upon arrival lol

Master's idea of having "gryph's coffee shop" setup with the spare folding ikea work table is awesome. haven't applied it for it's intended use since pup pride week when games night happened and i ran a game in my room. should try and do something like that again soon and have the roomies over to play a game and listen to some of my daggy tunes on cd or vinyl :-)

today was the coldest day so far that i have experienced in sydney this year. and it was a lovely thought given how cold it would get in ballan much earlier in the year, being so high up in the hills etc...... though i did get a bit jealous of the pictures i saw from friends when it snowed in ballarat again last week - snow is a beautiful thing. i will treasure the memory of my first australian snow experience in ballarat in 2014 - beautiful!

so again i remind myself. i am at home. in my bed. listening to my music. in safety. with family. with friends. with love.

night all :-)

shennaniganonsensicalistics........

good evening!

14th june 2016
22:35

yes it's been a while. sorry about that knackers!

how's things going? well things are good. better than good. they are goodly well muchly nice thank you ta very biscuit!

had a good but uneventful day at work. friday's visitor to the rail track was not nice... so today was lovely having everyone remain on the platform :-)

clean the toilets a couple of times... swept the platform many times (wow there must've been some stressed people with all the cigarette butts everywhere on each trip around the broom stick handle)

got to go wander down the main road of chesty hill to put someone's letter in the mail box as they left it on the platform... was nice to venture further than the top of the platform stairs....

went for a lovely walk with Master and Kahn this morning to pickup some scripts at the chemisty-doodywhacker...

Kahn is a beautiful dog. i love him so much and love giving him some massages when we bring him inside to sleep in the warmth... i like to hold and rub his ears to warm them up too as they seem to be the coldest part of him, poor buggerdoodley....

sometimes my brain and thoughts are not my friends... that's a bit inconvenient... silly dufferwillies....

but i've nothing to worry about. i have my home, my family, my life, and the only one who can make it difficult, is me. so i should stop the buggeraboutings and make better use of my timely timeness...

chook, chook, chook!!

hung up the peter albansqueezy voting bannery thingy on the front fence tonight for Dion... i'll get him to help with my tablecloth this week to find out exactly what the local riff raff reckon they policise about for us city folkadiddles...

got a replacement hoodie thingy from mr s today and also some more good wife goodies..... posty thingies are good funly goodness

enough chatteryboxiness and time for a snoozywhatsit....

grrrzzzzzzzzBEKKERRRKK!!!

bash the keyboard for a while......

11:54

16/04/2016

good morning (just!)

my mind has been conjuring up images of me typing away at my keyboard like something from the opening credits to murder she wrote lol so i figure i should entertain the thought

it's been two days and i'm doing good

things are travelling fine and there's nothing to be concerned about.

i live in a wonderful home with my wonderful family and friends and i have a great job. yeah sure, it may be boring and quiet and i may be a bit of a loner for the most part, but some of the days can really throw some nice surprises my way

had a single mother and her two young girls hang about and chat about nothing in particular for a couple of the days after helping carry a stroller down/up stairs for her.

helped an older lebanese lady with her opal card and she gave me one of her home made spicy cheese and spinach bread pouch thingies (not sure what the outside was, like a bread pastry if that makes sense?)

helped a couple of girls from overseas with buying tickets...

the nicest thing is that after a pay fortnight, i have more money left over than i used to, given there's no mortgage and council rates eating away at my pockets and wallet lol

i joined a gym this week with Master and arrow and that's really good. my upper body has some sore muscles from the work out we did on thursday night... hoping to convince them to try and make it an every second day thing to keep the body regularly trained....

(hmm watching a little baby lizard climb up the fly screen of my window - inside of the window lol)

alpha has picked up a nice looking kilt and awesome looking belt for me from usa - he's awesome!

dion has given me a write up on things i can use to help defuse some bad thought processes to aid in building my mental strength and stability - yay!

washing is on the line and there should be some ironing to do later today

gave myself a hair cut/beard trim - not so scruffy now thankfully

a fun trip to ikea and bunnings with dion after lunch should be good - see if i can figure out a way to make my room a bit more exciting/interesting to look at and entice people to come and hang out with me a bit more :)

i finally dropped off that jigsaw of storey bridge at twilight in brisbane yesterday to get framed! can't wait to see it finished off :)

role playing character generation last night went well, but still a ways to go for me to fine tune my skills on imagination - more so using my imagination for good, not evil lol

arrow is a good guy, he's very kind, considerate and friendly and i'm lucky to have him living in the next room and to be able to call him my friend... people may not think he's that smart, but i always say that he's a lot smarter and intelligent than people realise and if they take the time to get to know him better, they will see that in him too.

things are good, i love my life, i love my family, i love my job

i miss some of the people back in victoria, but i don't miss anything else really... so i know i've done the right thing by being in sydney.

that'll do for now

Pup Pride 2016 Review

Good evening all!

06/03/2016

23:50

And so finished the end of another year of Pup Pride fun and adventures.

9 days full of events to tantalise the paws of many a pup!

The big thing for me was the fact that i was also in the middle of starting a new job with Sydney Trains.

I was a bit worried about not being able to do any of the events i helped to arrange and assist with preparations because of not knowing what my roster was going to be like.

Thankfully - i had morning shifts and generally finished at 11:00 so i was able to tag along for most of the events we had such as the camp at Bundeena in the Royal National Park, pub dinner in Newtown, the zoo visit to Taronga, beach trip, and the leather craft workshop (which i wanted to do a lot more than the zoo trip - but enjoy visiting the zoo as it's a beautiful part of the city).

I loved the red harness i made. i really adored being able to make something again (last year i made a collar and a wrist cuff band thing to match). This time it was a good project over two days. And i was very pleased that i was also able to help my Master with his fabrications to keep him up to speed. At last minute i was then in a position to make a matching red collar and help Master to make his own additional red collar too. I love to help others as it helps to reinforce the knowledge i am learning.

But of course the highlight of the week had to be the Mardi Gras parade - hands down.

It was a such an awesome night and i enjoyed it so much more the second time around.

Overall, i think i did quite well. I was a bit worried about my nervousness and anxieties with so much happening and lots of extra people staying at our house throughout the week. I did have a couple of melting moments in my mind, but for the most part i held together pretty well.

One thing Master mentioned to someone during the week was that i have incredible self control and persistence. This week was a good test for it.

Given how much i was able to participate in whilst working at the same time, i'm proud of myself for doing the best that i could.

As i relax in front of my desktop computer in my room, next to my bed, with the adjacent monitor playing Murphy Brown, i am also enjoying the silence of life returning to some normality and routine.

Afternoon shift tomorrow means i can stay up a bit later and chill out with Murphy Brown and lots of water (thirsty night!).

It's been a great week.

Big thanks to Master for organising all the events and also for recruiting me to help out with as much as i could do :-)

Well the keyboard is starting to bugger up so the batteries must be going flat lol

Better sign off.

Love to you all!

Mardi Gras 2016

What an amazing night!

Last year I was a bit of a stunned mullet just hard at work preparing the float then hoisting the pup pride flag all the way to the end to then resume my work duties to deconstruct the ute and plod along home.

Tonight was very different.

I knew what to expect and went into it a bit more excited, not at all anxious or nervous.

I donned my work hat at the start and finish as normal to prepare the float and then deconstruct, but in the interim during the course of the evening, I had a wonderful time.

I interacted with strangers, had photos with them, I danced (without necessitating alcohol), and sang a little bit.

The ute looked fantastic and I bopped along the parade route and joined in with posing and calling and waving out to the hoards along the street side.

I had a wonderful night and look forward to next year :)

I love you all

Last night in the furry house

08/02/2016

23:41

Officially my last night in these four walls, under this big roof, on this big block of land.

I found this block almost 6 years ago not long after starting my first job in the commercial aluminium window industry after being a bit jealous of friends and relatives having new homes, new kitchens, new things..... I wanted something new too!

Back tracking a bit further still - I moved out of home straight to Melbourne after visiting the place for Australia Day long weekend in 2003 and thought "yeah i like the look and feel of this place".

I figured that to successfully move out of home I had to go far away so as to try and stomp out my own life without assistance of parents. Into Wollongong itself wasn't far enough and Sydney scared me at the time. So Oak Flats to Melbourne it was...

Lots of things have happened since then, I won't bore myself with typing out the details on my phone given how it's annoying that the blogger app doesn't scroll down the page every time a new line appears (grrr).....

So here's just a few things I'll mention from my almost 12.5 years down here before making a final trek north tomorrow night...

Things I will miss:
- 3AW breakfast (and other shows during the weekdays)
- Caroline Ferguson doing traffic reports on 3AW (the most comprehensive and entertaining way to get my traffic fix)
- daylight savings (where the last glimpses of sunlight die off close to 22:00 at the peak of summer)
- the view of the city from the West Gate Bridge and Bolte Bridge (day or night)
- comfortable v line intercity/regional trains (which I would miss right now even if I was staying in Ballan given the current debacle over wheel issues with the v'locity sets lol)
- my neighbours Sharon and gav
- Ballarat steakhouse
- occasional trips to watch footy at MCG
- friends I have made during my time here
- wood fire heating
- radio advertisements with Frank Walker from National Tiles (yes I do enjoy them lol)
- bluestone

Things I will not miss:
- Western and Metropolitan Ring Road (good fucking riddance)
- people mispronouncing Reservoir (it's pronounced "Reserv-waa" not "Rezza-vor")
- roadworks
- people who don't know how to drive in a single lane without weaving between both lanes where there are team tracks
- Collingwood football club
- ridiculously hot summer nights
- rubberneckers
- insecurities regarding delivery of my mail to the wrong address (yes that was my passport that you carded for pickup from the post office, which was delivered to the wrong street)
- being restricted to Telstra as the only reliable mobile phone provider in Ballan
- radio advertisements for medownick laser eye surgery (oh look your glasses were in the back of jane's car) and happy tint (using children in advertising irritates the crappers out of me)
- Hoddle St, Punt Rd during peak hours and footy season
- getting up at 04:00 for my 12 hour work days lol (a few years worth is enough I think lol)
- council rates and water bills
- bad tv reception
- having no garden waste bin
- having no hard rubbish collection service

Even though I whinged about the blogger app not scrolling down as an excuse not to crap on, it appears I have crapped on, and could potentially continue for much longer lol

It's been an amazing adventure but things change for more excitement and I'm heading forwards to find it

My foot in the door with Sydney trains is an awesome thing and it's a network I know well and will hopefully get me into a longer term career to pique my interest a lot more than most jobs that I've had down here...

Thanks to everyone who was a part of this chapter and wish me luck moving on to the next chapter

I am sexy, strong, resilient, caring, respectful, loving and wonderful
