Good evening all!

And so finished the end of another year of Pup Pride fun and adventures.
9 days full of events to tantalise the paws of many a pup!
The big thing for me was the fact that i was also in the middle of starting a new job with Sydney Trains.
I was a bit worried about not being able to do any of the events i helped to arrange and assist with preparations because of not knowing what my roster was going to be like.
Thankfully - i had morning shifts and generally finished at 11:00 so i was able to tag along for most of the events we had such as the camp at Bundeena in the Royal National Park, pub dinner in Newtown, the zoo visit to Taronga, beach trip, and the leather craft workshop (which i wanted to do a lot more than the zoo trip - but enjoy visiting the zoo as it's a beautiful part of the city).
I loved the red harness i made. i really adored being able to make something again (last year i made a collar and a wrist cuff band thing to match). This time it was a good project over two days. And i was very pleased that i was also able to help my Master with his fabrications to keep him up to speed. At last minute i was then in a position to make a matching red collar and help Master to make his own additional red collar too. I love to help others as it helps to reinforce the knowledge i am learning.
But of course the highlight of the week had to be the Mardi Gras parade - hands down.
It was a such an awesome night and i enjoyed it so much more the second time around.
Overall, i think i did quite well. I was a bit worried about my nervousness and anxieties with so much happening and lots of extra people staying at our house throughout the week. I did have a couple of melting moments in my mind, but for the most part i held together pretty well.
One thing Master mentioned to someone during the week was that i have incredible self control and persistence. This week was a good test for it.
Given how much i was able to participate in whilst working at the same time, i'm proud of myself for doing the best that i could.
As i relax in front of my desktop computer in my room, next to my bed, with the adjacent monitor playing Murphy Brown, i am also enjoying the silence of life returning to some normality and routine.
Afternoon shift tomorrow means i can stay up a bit later and chill out with Murphy Brown and lots of water (thirsty night!).
It's been a great week.
Big thanks to Master for organising all the events and also for recruiting me to help out with as much as i could do :-)
Well the keyboard is starting to bugger up so the batteries must be going flat lol
Better sign off.
Love to you all!

Mardi Gras 2016
What an amazing night!
Last year I was a bit of a stunned mullet just hard at work preparing the float then hoisting the pup pride flag all the way to the end to then resume my work duties to deconstruct the ute and plod along home.
Tonight was very different.
I knew what to expect and went into it a bit more excited, not at all anxious or nervous.
I donned my work hat at the start and finish as normal to prepare the float and then deconstruct, but in the interim during the course of the evening, I had a wonderful time.
I interacted with strangers, had photos with them, I danced (without necessitating alcohol), and sang a little bit.
The ute looked fantastic and I bopped along the parade route and joined in with posing and calling and waving out to the hoards along the street side.
I had a wonderful night and look forward to next year :)
